Thomas S. Hornig brings his experience to the fields of business, civil litigation, land use, outdoor advertising law, condemnation and estate planning.

Mr. Hornig is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Business Administration (Finance). He earned his Law Degree in 1972 also from the University, where he was elected to Coif, the University's honorary law fraternity.

Mr. Hornig is active in many professional associations. He is past Chairman of the State Bar's Committee on Assistance for Lawyers, past Chairman of the Rock County Bar's Project Inquiry (stressing law-related education in the local schools). He has lectured at the University of Wisconsin Law School. He has served several terms on the State Bar Board of Governors and on its Executive Committee. He served two years as the Treasurer of the State Bar. He has served on numerous State Bar Committees, including Finance, and he chaired the State Bar's Board of Governor's Strategic Planning Committee. He is past President of the Rock County Bar Association.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Hornig is active in community organizations. He is past President of the Janesville Kiwanis Club; led the Brass Choir and Handbell Choir at Cargill United Methodist Church, and is a past Foundation President there. He served there on the Board of Trustees, the Finance Committee, and chaired pledge drives. He was, for over 20 years, a director of the Cedar Crest Retirement Complex and served two terms as President of the Board. He is a past President of the Parker High School Band Parents Association; former director of the State of Wisconsin United Methodist Foundation; and past President of the Janesville University of Wisconsin Alumni Club. He is a past director of Forward Foundation, Inc. and Forward Janesville.

Mr. Hornig speaks nationally on outdoor advertising legal issues.

Mr. Hornig has been named a Wisconsin "Super Lawyer" in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Mr. Hornig speaks nationally on outdoor advertising legal issues. He represents the Outdoor Advertising Association of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Sign Association. He recently authored a section of a published sign symposium treatise on outdoor advertising. He has also written for the Wisconsin Lawyer Magazine.
